Won 2 gold medals at The 15th World Wushu Sanda Championships in Shanghai

On October 20, 2019, the 15th World Wushu Sanda Championships hosted by the International Wushu Federation was held in Shanghai Minhang Gymnasium. The Students Shen Guoshun and Li Yueyao from Shaolin Temple Tagou Wushu School participated and won the championship, winning the men’s 56 kg championship and Women’s 52 kg champion.

The 15th World Wushu Sanda Championships attracted more than 1,100 athletes, coaches, referees, officials and guests from 102 countries and regions to gather in Shanghai for the grand event. The competition consists of two events, Taolu and Sanda. The Sanda competition includes 18 levels of men and women.

Shen Guoshun is powerful, explosive, and spiritual in wrestling. On his way to the men’s 56 kg championship at the current World Championships, he faced five players from Morocco, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea and Russia. He won all five games and successfully won the championship for the Chinese team.

In the women’s 52 kg competition, Li Yueyao defeated athletes from Egypt, Indonesia and Turkey in turn to win the championship.
